1 Samuel 30:1-8

David returned home from Ziklag, his family had been taken, all the women, all the children! Everything had been burnt to the ground! The loss was great! They wept until they could not weep anymore.

FINALLY, David arose and sought the Lord. Should I go after them? Will I defeat them? The Lord says , YES, Go, You will RECOVER EVERYTHING! David obeyed! The Lord was faithful! They recovered everything and more!

I don't know if you've been in this place before?!?

A photograph and a mirror ... both provide a reflection of self. Yet somehow as of late, I feel like they portray two completely different views ... Just as the world and the Word of God/Holy Spirit can reveal two vastly contrasting depictions of ourselves.

Roasted Apple + Lavender Granola Breakfast Recipe

Does anyone else spend hours upon hours of wasted productive time on Instagram or Pinterest just perusing all the incredible food pictures? I love all the inspiration and creation. But since having such resourceful tools at my fingertips I don't create much on my own - just seemingly replicate these days which is why I don't get to blog much about food even though it's one of my passions.

It's always a disappointment when I am searching and find that one recipe that I just HAVE to try ... like right now ... only to realize ingredients on hand are lacking. So on to the next, I keep browsing ... but I always get excited with the challenge of seeing what I can create when groceries are in dire condition. It amazes me when I can push through another week with seemingly nothing in the house. #NoWaste. And I am apparently not the only one! Enter Rebecca Taylor of Budget Nutrition Guide whom I stumbled upon on Instagram. Browsing through her vibrant and energizing account, I came across this image of hers:

I love being behind the camera ... I love when God speaks ... and I love when He bestows gentle revelations - though they are not, I'm learning, usually immediate.

The most rewarding photography for me is often when I can take something one would quickly overlook and shed a new light on it. But as far as I am concerned, it's an aesthetic experience. You think your eyes are open when you are capturing ...  until your spiritual eyes are awakened and you're enlightened to something deeper.

Why Fruition?

There's been something I've been meaning to explain for a while ...

Fruition John 15:16

The Sojourner Pt. 2

I've been trying to formulate the complete picture of a revelation I began to receive a few months ago for some time- much in the same way I try to overcome my personal battles... in one large panoramic view. I'm beginning to realize that often this is not how it works...
